The hemostatic bandage is designed to effectively control massive bleeding from areas where a tourniquet cannot be used (junction site). It is a soft, white, sterile and non-woven gauze (7.5 cm x 3.7 m) with an X-ray indicator. The gauze is impregnated with kaolin, a natural inorganic mineral that activates factor XII and accelerates the natural clotting process.
